Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision

On Monday, November 26th, 2016 at 6:37pm the Saugeen Shores Police were called to the area of Rexall Pharmacy on Goderich Street in Port Elgin concerning a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. 

Emergency services arrived on the scene and located a 60 year old Port Elgin women with severe injuries on the roadway.  The woman was transported to Saugeen Memorial Hospital where efforts to save her were not successful.

The Ontario Provincial Police collision reconstructionist unit attended to assist the Saugeen Shores Police with the investigation.

This incident is still under investigation.  The Saugeen Shores Police is asking for witnesses to come forward or any person with information concerning this fatal collision.

The victim’s name is not being released to respect the privacy of the family.
