SIU Invokes Mandate after Collision in Saugeen Shores

The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding a collision this afternoon that resulted in serious injuries to two vehicle occupants.

On Thursday November 2nd 2023 at approximately 2:04 pm an officer on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act infraction.  The vehicle fled from police and collided with a tree.  The driver and passengers in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.  

As required by law, no further information can be provided by the Saugeen Shores Police Service at this time.
