Methamphetamine Arrest
Media Release – Early Morning Drug Arrest in Southampton
On Friday, January 11th, 2019 at 5:45am an officer spotted a vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner on Railway Street in Southampton.
The officer stopped the vehicle and made observations of drug possession. An at scene investigation revealed that driver and female passenger were in possession of 28 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine with a street value of $3200.
The plates attached to the vehicle were discovered to have been stolen from the Town of Hanover.
The driver and passenger were both arrested and held for a bail hearing in Walkerton.
25 year old male and 24 year old female, both from Hanover, have been charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)
- Possession of property obtained by crime x 2
- Breach of Probation (female only)
